Love God, Serve Others, and Share the Good News
Welcome to the website of Sardis Baptist Church! In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we are using new methods to reach out and minister to those in our congregation and our community.
Here are some quick ways to navigate our website.
Dear Sardis Baptist Church Family,
During this tumultuous time, please know that your family at Sardis Baptist Church is here for you. If you need help or assistance, please reach out to our Church office or through one of our Deacons. Remember to call and check on one another, and most of all, pray for one another and for our world through this crisis. The Church has weathered countless disasters, and will continue to stand once life returns to normal.
Due to the changing
nature of the health situation, we are implementing the following plan that
will also be posted on our church’s website and Facebook Page. Please remember to closely monitor
your email, as that will be our primary means of communication through this
For the foreseeable future all weekday services, events, and studies are cancelled. We will revisit our schedule weekly and adjust it accordingly. Our Church offices will remain open. Our Deacons plan to meet weekly to continue discussing and monitoring the situation.
Please remember that your financial support of the church is vital at this time. Your faithful and generous giving is greatly appreciated. As always, you can give online at our website.
God gives us a word of hope in troubled times. As His people, the Lord says to us, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10). Now, is the time, as Christians, for us to be the light of the world and to set an example of faith in the face of fear. Let’s pray for God to give our government officials wisdom to lead us, our doctors revelation to find a cure and treatments and for a great revival to sweep this world that people will put their faith in the living God. Let us remember, “God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble…Be still and know that I am God!” (Ps 46:1,10).
Thank you for your faithful partnership in ministry and for your support of the church.
The Deacon Body & Pastoral Staff
In obedience to God, as a Christ-centered body of believers, we commit to disciple, enable and encourage one another to love, worship and serve God. Led by the Holy Spirit we will fulfill God’s commandments and reach lost souls for the glory of our LORD Jesus Christ.
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
